Hause Creek Campground – 4th of July Weekend – Day 1…
It’s the 4th of July and we have been looking forward to going camping to celebrate the holiday ever since our camping trip a couple weekends ago at Deception Pass State Park. We had not researched a place to camp early enough so many campgrounds were fully booked. For this reason, we were not able to find a campsite at any local State Parks that had any amount of shade or privacy. We eventually found a great campsite at Hause Creek Campground.
One thing that is great about State Parks is that there are photos of each site for nearly every campground. The website www.campsitephotos.com is another great site for that as well!
Hause Creek Campground is a Forest Service campground, and for all that I have looked into, I have yet to see any that provide photos. We were flying blind as to how the site would be until we arrived at site 31.
When we arrived, we found the site to be too small, especially for setting up more than 1 tent.
We found site 31 to be small… definitely too small for us. As a result, we also learned that not all sites are created equal as far as their size. We talked with the camp host who was very nice and very helpful and found us a spot that was still available and that we liked very much… that was site 34.
Site 35 was great too and equally as spacious as site 34!
We set up our tents, and got ready for the night… looking forward to our 2nd day…
